Lorient was were we got stuck. We headed into Kernével as it was an easy location for Dad, Dave, Rebecca, Joe, Martha and Polly to get to and it was likely to have space - which they did. I also had some work to do - so we needed the reasonable wifi provided by the marina, as 3G wasn't going to be sufficient.

It was great to show Dave and family the boat as they'd not seen the tubby catamaran that was going to take us across the Atlantic. We also snuck off on the rib and had a look at the Submarine pens. They were the cause of the levelling off the town during the war, but survived pretty much unscathed. Not much else to add, as I spent lots of time working on code - which is always a fun distraction given I don't do so much of that anymore :)

We did cycle around the area including over to the submarine pens to see some of the fancy Multihulls berthed in the Eric Tarberley museum. We ended up staying 6 days here. Too long really, if wasn't for the work-distraction. But that was soon finished with and another Island beckoned....
