When we did get up, I was surprised by the number of small boats out fishing. They were like fireflies all pouring out of the small marina. It was a relief to follow a larger fishing boat out as there must have been over 50 boats all crammed into the area through which we had to navigate.
True to form the wind had died overnight. We wanted to make some progress and get around Finisterre soonish, so we opted to motor to Camariñas. 50 miles of boring motoring though that was relieved somewhat by a small pod of dolphins coming to play under the bow for a while :)
We headed in to anchor at Camariñas itself. This is a bit new to us - we anchored just off the marina, inside the breakwater. Something that is very common here but completely alien to us. We then went ashore leaving our dinghy in the marina. The marineiro was totally happy with this, even if we felt a bit guilty at using the resources for free! We did eat in the yacht club which was pleasant enough. We spent two nights anchored here before moving on. Out next stop was to be Ria de Arousa, but to get there we had to round Finisterre, where the winds seemed to always be 1 or 2 Beaufort higher than the surrounding areas...
