The last night at sea started with some impressive squalls. Anthony and I had our hands full on our watches, but it calmed down for Mandy and Barry. However, in Barry's watch - we head the VHF crackle - and it was the CROSS station on Guadeloupe. Life outside in the real world!
A bit later on, around 6am, we saw another boat on AIS - it was Bianca Rosa. We had a chat with Matthew via VHF and proceeded to see them on and off throughout the day.
We crossed the 100nm to go mark, and we were tracking our VMG towards our destination. Barry guess our arrival at 8pm, and we actually crossed the finish line at 19:43 local. Bianca Rosa crossed about 30minutes behind us. I'd fully expected them to zip passed us during the day, but it didn't happen. They were gybing along to make progress and got hit by quite a few squalls which totally missed us!
The finish is right outside English Harbour, so we put the motors on, furled away the genoa and motored up into the harbour. The Sailing Rallies team were on hand to give us explicit instructions on where to moor - alongside the superyacht dock it was! Easy - and the crews of other rally boats were on hand to welcome us and give us a hand in.
This morning, we cleared in - and are all legal. We've got to move over to our stern-to mooring later today.
So thats it - we've sailed the atlantic! Pass the rum :)
