And they're off... again...
And they're off... again...

A day later than planned due to a last minute fridge issue, but we finally left the La Playita anchorage at Balboa, Panama this morning. We had to motor for a fair while due to light to non-existent winds, and we even spent some of the day drifting along with just the genoa out managing just under 1 knot.

However, the sights were fantastic. We've seen whales, rays swimming on the surface, disturbed sleeping turtles and a huge pod of 100+ dolphins hunting nearby which then came over to swim around the boat. Fortunately the wind has now filled in a bit and we are making 6-7knots under the big parasailor. How long this continues - we are not sure. The forecasts show it lasting until lunchtime tomorrow but they aren't the most accurate. We envisage more drifting around in doldrum-type winds to come so we are making progress as best we can at present...

Spoke to soon - now too much wind, so we have pulled the parasailor down for the night and back to just genoa downwind. Much calmer and less stress - good for the first night...
