This morning, we’re getting ESE/SE winds for force 4 to 5 and making around 6knots (still with a slight counter current). Sea state is a little bit higher than it has been, but not uncomfortable. More care is needed to move around the boat though.
We’ve passed the 1/3rd mark - frustratingly long to get there - hopefully our speed improves for the next 2/3rds! We’re now tracking the weather systems ahead of us which bring much wind and rough seas to the areas around Pitcairn. These should have moved through by the end of next week - ie. before we get there, but there is a trough and possibly a weather front which may make things more “interesting” than we’d like. For now we’re heading direct to Pitcairn/Gambier and we’ll see what the forecast tells us over the coming days and adjust our route to suite.
All still good onboard, drying out slowly in todays sun :)
