Wet
Wet

This is what the radar shows when you are about to get drenched... And it was my watch, and I did get very wet indeed.

I've just about dried about, but Anthony is on watch also about to get wet from yet another squall. Yes, it looks like we have bust out through the trades and into some variable weather. Currently the wind is NW which is nice current course. It is due to back (shift anti-clockwise) around us today and by tomorrow we should have SE winds reinforced by a high to the south of us. This should allow us to make some good speed for a couple of days.

Then we have a choice. The weather models are by no means certain at this point. The low that we have been following could influence things in a few ways. So we may opt to stop at the uninhabited island of Henderson, as there is a viable anchorage on the north coast which could give us some shelter. Or we may press on to Pitcairn direct as originally planned. We will probably make the call in 2 days when we are closer to Henderson. It's only 100nm from there to Pitcairn, so stopping for a day to rest won't make a huge difference.

It all depends on the actual weather :)
