Radio Silence
Radio Silence

Sorry about the ‘radio silence’, but we’re having problems with our satellite system which looks to be hardware related (unable to transmit, though receive performance is fine). Our service provider is being ‘less than helpful’ because we didn’t buy the kit from them, despite relieving us of £600/month. I’m sure those in the boating world will know exactly who that is… We had previously bought kit from them and suffered their woeful service on warranty failure (2.5 months to replace a phone, no credit for lost months of service). Anyway, we’re now in the downtown marina in Tahiti and working out a plan to solve this issue (and probably change service provider!).

We owe you some pictures of the mass grouper spawning in the south pass at Fakarava which was an incredible sight, plus some shots from the Heiva competition we saw before Alistair flew home. We loved the Heiva show so much, we’re going back again for the ‘winners night’. The dancing was incredible - an hours performance of drumming, costume changes and hip shaking and that is just per team! In the show we saw, the first team was incredible and they were the amateur ones. I enjoyed the singing too, though its not to everyone’s taste.

Once we’re a bit further along with the jobs list, we’ll get back to posting some photos. In the meantime we’re hugely enjoying having shops that have fresh produce near by!
