We did manage to string all the bunting together to join in and Ocean Tigress got into party mode too... It was great to meet up with Derek and Mandy. Derek's solar panel mount is working very well for us, keeping the batteries nicely charged.
Again, because of the wind, we opted to take the ferry to Sark for an explore - something which Dad really wanted to do. Little did we realise that the cruise ship was arriving, and they were embarked first - leaving us outside in a brief rain shower. You can go off cruise passengers very quickly in a situation like that, but the they redeem themselves with quips like "Do you think this is the only shower on the island"' which was heard in the facilities by the harbour!
We did manage to get Derek on a bike, even if it wasn't his natural element.
However, it was soon time for Ocean Tigress to nose back north and Dad to fly home, leaving us without guests and a spell of nice weather approaching! So we moved around to anchor in a Petit Port. 3 glorious days of sun and no wind. A bit of swell would reach us at high tide, but nothing to worry a cat! We even managed to get some more varnishing done :)
Eddie and Shirley were joining us for a weekend, so it was back into St Peter Port for a few days. It was great to see them - we had a fantastic few days.
