Moving on...

Time to leave the Channel Islands, much as we love them. South, you'd think? No - we missed meeting up with Tim & Kirstie and Mike & Mary before we set off, so over to Dartmouth. For once the wind did co-operate and we had a cracking sail most of the way. Very rewarding. We opted for the inside of Town Jetty for a couple of nights, making it easy to meet up with Tim and Kirstie who drove over to see us. Another nice evening of catching up.

By luck, Mike and Mary were having a BBQ with a group of other boating friends, so we were able to tag along and get some advice and share plans and ideas with other boaters - some far more experienced than us! Lunch drifted on and on as the stories flowed - a wonderful way to spend the day. Mike and Mary came back to see Duplicat - where we discovered the seagulls had attacked a binbag we'd not had chance to drop to the waste pontoon! We were also trying to find homes for the myriad of last minute items that had arrived on board in the rush up to out departure date. So Duplicat wasn't looking her best!

We finally managed to visit the Naval College! Despite years of visiting Dartmouth by boat, the time we have now means we can wait for these things, rather than skip on if not convenient. A very interesting tour it was too. Once back on board, we quickly got ready for departure, and headed to Starhole Bay for the night. The plan was to aim for L'abberwrac'h the next morning....
