Dominica is a lovely country. We will be going back when we have a bit more time, but alas - we had to move on. We picked up some fuel at the fishing dock, but they ran out well short of a fill up. Fortunately the wind was just about co-operating - so we set off on another overnight sail.
The forecast said SE, but it was a solid westerly as we left the bay. The wind played games with us until the bottom of the island, when it swung SE. The sea state was very messy though and we bounced our way south. As darkness fell and we got behind Martinique, the sea smooth out. We had ore fun with the wind so had to motor a bit. Once out from behind the island we were sailing again and very nicely. We saw one other yacht and one cruise ship overnight. Normally we see many more cruise ships, but we were maybe a bit far offshore this time. No problems behind St Lucia, and we arrived into Bequia mid afternoon. We anchored and settled in for the night.
We plan to stay here a few days before moving on - probably to Tobago Cays. We've managed to make good progress south and are now close enough to Grenada that we can relax. We are fine to our flights from here...
