Leaving Antigua
Leaving Antigua

We're briefly leaving Antigua. We have to return in three weeks as Amanda is flying home for her Aunt's memorial service. However, we have a few weeks to head south to enjoy ourselves on our own.

Our last night in Jolly. Harbour was spent onboard Bianca Rosa, as they'd invited us to share the last of their epic marlin capture from the rally. It was very tasty! We've become firm friends with all on Bianca Rosa and we hope to see them all again at some point. They will be heading onwards soon, before we get back - so it really was the last supper this time!

This morning we left Antigua. We paid the marina and at 9am we slipped our lines and headed up to customs and immigration. Paperwork done, we headed out of the harbour and raised sail. We had a fantastic sail down to within 3 miles of Deshaies, when the wind shifted a lot. It would force us a long way offshore, so we started the engines and motored the last few miles. We're now anchored in the bay and will go ashore to check-in tomorrow.

Our plans are quite loose. We'll amble around here in Guadaloupe for a few weeks and then head to Montserrat. A few days later, we'll head into Antigua again so Amanda can catch her flight.
